Episodes 1 & 2Episode 1:
The heroes meet on another in the lower ports of Talor, after doing small odds and ends jobs while working for some low city officials and city watch patrols, they find some leads into a secret cult of Zehir causing some minor problems within the city. A lead from some locals along with rumors heard around The Dragon’s Hive Tavern / Inn leads the heroes to believe that a shipment is being smuggled in from the docks and out of Talor. The heroes find and locate the ship and soon they are following the unknown shipment out of Talor. They find that the destination is at the standing Stones of Sorka and that it is being received by a Yaun-Ti named Zalsess. A fight ensues and Zalsess escapes after issuing a threat that this is only the beginning of the fight. Over the course a few days one of the captives from the fight speaks out and reveals that Zalsess is stationed somewhere close to a small town to the east known as Loudwater, so the heroes make preparations to follow the lead and go to Loudwater to deal with Zalsess. Later in the day the heroes are settling down for a late lunch when an adult white dragon flies down and issues a challenge to the city that a fight is coming and that the city has five days to find four heroes worthy of the challenge and that the fight will take place at Talor’s arena. It then uses some kind of binding medallion that binds the dragon’s word to the city, the heroes recognize the medallion as one that Zalsess took from the shipment at the standing stones. Episode 2: The heroes then take the challenge at the arena. The next few days pass without much to go on and the heroes are then joined by a gladiator dragonborn named Drake. Magical boxes are rolled into the arena and magically produce a young white dragon and its kobold minions. The fight turns in favor of the dragon and its minions but the heroes are able to turn the tide and defeat the overwhelming odds against them and win the arena battle and save Talor from being controlled by a powerful and evil white dragon. Lady Devonry of Talor has a festival of honor dedicated to the heroes. |
Episode 3The kobold minions of the slain arena dragon were wearing medallions from a dwarven mining facility called Coppernight Hold located near the town of Loudwater.
Zalsess seems to be in direct connection with the adult white dragon issuing the challenge to Talor and the young white dragon showing up at the arena since the young dragon looks as though it came from the mining facility near Loudwater where Zalsess is suspected to be as well. The heroes now can assume that the older white dragon is related to the younger one and that revenge for killing the younger on can be coming at any time, the danger level seems to have increased some. Lady Devonry sends Avonleigh’s lord advisor Isten with the heroes in their search for Zalsess and the serpent cult of Zehir. The goal, to work their way up the chain of command and hopefully determine who the leader the cult is and deal with them directly… could it be Zalsess? On their way to Loudwater the heroes befriend a hungry pseudodragon before making a stop at Coppernight hold to deal with the kobold minions living there and then rescue some captured dwarves. In Loudwater the rescued dwarves find shelter and healing before going back to the mines. Isten goes to the main buildings and works on getting an audience with the town ruler. The heroes stow their large wagon that they attained in the battle at the standing stones and then work on finding a place to stay and then try to find any leads to pinning down Zalsess and his location. Seems that Loudwater is plagued by a strange winter in the middle of summer reminding the heroes of how when they met the adult white dragon that it turned the streets of Talor into a small isolated place of winter. Could a white dragon be the reason for out of season cold climate in Loudwater. Loudwater is attacked by a group of goblins, a town wall is blown up and goblins invade the streets grabbing people and searching for something. The heroes become involved and take down the goblins. A letter is found on the goblin leader that says that they’re searching for a magical totem that is evidently located in one of the nearby shops in Loudwater. A cult of Zehir, a Yaun-Ti by the name of Zalsess, two white dragons, kobolds, now goblins… the plot is thickening up with small leads and plenty of danger and adventure to be found. The heroes are learning quickly that each step isn’t a step forward in completing their quest, each step leads to more stones overturned and more danger on the horizon. |

In a soft voice he address Zalsess who stands there quietly, "the adventurers from the city of Talor, that successfully defeated your white dragon, are here and are setting out today to a tomb of some ogre king that is currently occupied by goblins." Zalsess listens and watches the figure, barely able to make out any facial features within the dark hood of the cloak. The mysterious figure pulls forth some rolled up paper scrolls and a small humanoid skull, "take these to aid you, I've arranged for someone to help you out, the scrolls I'm giving you will show you where to meet them... this group of adventurers need to be dealt with so that we can move forward with our plans." Zalsess nods his serpent head before taking the offered items, "their souls will soon be offered to our god Zehir."
